Our Office

Your First Visit
At the first visit to our office, patients are introduced to Dr. Siara-Olds. She will ask a series of questions to determine whether patients are ready to begin their orthodontic journey. Occasionally, a panoramic radiograph is taken to help in this decision. If patients are candidates to begin treatment, the next step would be diagnostic records. Complete diagnostic records include, impressions or molds of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth, and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
Consultation
The consultation is set up 3 weeks after the diagnostic records have been completed. At this time the doctor will discuss your treatment options. Any questions or concerns you have will be addressed in detail. Together you and Dr. Siara-Olds will decide upon the course of orthodontic care that is right for you.
Regular Appointments
The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes from ½ hour to a hour. You'll then see us at regular intervals 4 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment, which takes 15 to 45 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday to Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since most appointments are made 4 to 8 weeks in advance.
Payment & Office Policies
Cost
The cost of treatment depends on the severity of the patient's problem. You will be able to discuss fees and payment options before treatment begins. We have payment plans to suit different budgets. We will be happy to assist you in preparing and submitting the necessary forms to help you collect benefits from your insurance company. The treatment fee is, however, the sole responsibility of the patient/parent (responsible party signing the contract), regardless of what your insurance company pays. We work hard to make orthodontics affordable for you.
Fees
In an effort to keep orthodontic fees down while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we have established this financial policy:
- If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a 5 percent fee discount.
- To fit your individual needs, financial arrangements can be made to extend your payments over a period of months.
- For your convenience, we accept payment by VISA and MASTERCARD.
- In cases of serious delinquency, treatment will be discontinued, although we will make every effort to accommodate patients with temporary difficulties.
Payment/Insurance Policy
All payments for orthodontic services are made directly to this office by the adult patient or parents. Please understand that you are financially responsible to the doctor for all services rendered. Your insurance company or union is responsible to you for insurance benefits. You will be expected to keep your account up-to-date with our office regardless of the insurance payment schedule of your insurance company or union. Our office will handle the claim for orthodontic treatment (emphasizing assignments of benefits directly to you).
